The Connect Mentors program at Nooksack Valley high and middle schools has offered proven success. The addition of the Be the One program will open up possibilities for even more students, as it launches this fall.
The sixth-grade math and science classrooms have a new face at Nooksack Valley Middle School. Shelby Wilson starts her teaching career in Nooksack Valley Schools following a student teaching program through Western Washington University at Mount Baker Junior High School.
Nooksack Valley Middle School grew by 60 students this year, up to a record 430 students to start the school calendar. And as the school year gets going, every one of those students is spending time putting a focus on building character, creating relationships and growing connections.
