Fifth grade classes at Everson were field trip creative
The first three days of classes for the fifth-grade students at Everson Elementary were a bit different than the norm.
As construction crews raced to finish installing new portable classrooms Nooksack Valley Schools purchased for the growing student population, the classes of Tara Olson and Madelynn Libolt went mobile.
Field trips signified the order of the day for both classes, giving the fifth graders a memorable first three days of school.
Whether visiting a local farm to gain a better understanding of the dairy process or a trip to Bellingham’s Larrabee State Park for a chance to learn a little marine life knowledge, the students filled their days—sunny days, at that—with school work beyond the typical classroom.
