Superintendent Galley's Message Regarding Governor's Announcement

Superintendent Galley's Message Regarding Governor's Announcement
NV Media

Hello NV families,

As you have likely heard, guidelines for opening schools in the fall were issued today, July 28. While there have been some changes to distancing, close contacts, and quarantine times (all for the better), masks will still be a requirement in all schools for all staff, students and guests, regardless of vaccination status. I know this news is disappointing for many of you — I am disappointed as well — but it will not deter our plans for in-person instruction every day beginning Sept. 1. We will continue to update in the event the guidelines change.

Currently there does not appear to be any other options. If for any reason in-person learning is not your choice, please reach out to the district office at 360-988-4754 to let us know how we can support you. We will provide an online-only option, but there will not be the same “NV @ Home” scenario as last year.

Like last year, we hope the most restrictive guidelines are in place to start the year and relax over time. Please stay safe, stay positive and enjoy the rest of August. We are looking forward to school every day and we are excited to continue moving closer to normal.

Thank you,

Matt Galley
