Congratulations to the Nooksack Valley football and volleyball teams for qualifying for their respective 1A state tournaments. The volleyball team starts state tournament play as the nine-seed at 5:15 p.m. on Friday in Yakima's SunDome. The football team, named the tournament's three-seed, will host Riverside (seed 14) in round one of state at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Civic Stadium in Bellingham.
