    WELCOME TO EVERSON ELEMENTARY

     *************************************************************************************

New student enrollment  - Families can use our Online Enrollment Portal to register students new to the district. To access the online enrollment portal, go to our Nooksack Valley School District website (www.nooksackschools.org), click on the Resources tab and then on the New Student Online Enrollment link. Paper versions of the Registration packets will also be available at each school.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION AND PRESCHOOL APPLICATION for 2019-2020 - All of the elementary schools in Nooksack Valley School District recently held kindergarten registration for children who are planning to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2019.  In case you missed it and you are planning on sending your child to kindergarten, please register your child as soon as possible!  Our schools are planning for next year’s classes and it is very helpful to know our kindergarten enrollment numbers.  Preschool applications for 2019-20 are also being accepted at the district office.  Please contact Doreen at 360-988-4754 for more information regarding preschool.

Gracias.

Note from Superintendent Mark Johnson on Bond Passage

    February 22, 2019

Hello Nooksack Valley! I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for supporting our recent bond election.  As we started this school year my “word” for the year was “gratitude”. I wanted to make sure I was taking the time to recognize and appreciate the many blessings in life, both big and small, and not simply “move on to the next thing” (as is my tendency).

This bond passage is a BIG thing, and I am so very grateful to our community. Our Pioneer Country is a community that has always overwhelmingly supported our children, this time in the form of voting “yes” in order to provide necessary facilities. My gratitude is equally overwhelming!

A special thanks go to our facilities committee who spent about one year analyzing the needs, determining potential solutions and corresponding costs, and making final recommendations to our school board.  Scott Mitchell and Jennifer Lautenbach served as co-chairs for the campaign, both working tirelessly to ensure we reached the 60% “yes” requirement for bond approval.

My commitment to all of you is to steward every single dollar to ensure we get the very best value we can.  You all deserve that, as do our children.

    With Great Gratitude,

    Mark Johnson

    Superintendent of Schools

SCHOOL SUPPLIES - For the upcoming school year, 2019-2020, the Nooksack Valley School District will provide basic school supplies that in the past parents have been asked to purchase for their students. If you happen to see an old supply list for our schools in any local business, please disregard it. For the elementary schools, K-5, a backpack is the ONLY item that we request families provide. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.
